Congratulations BU18 Spartans!

The Newport FC Spartans, who are having a trying season due to injuries and shortage of players, went into the Cranberry Cup over the Thanksgiving weekend with 12 available players. The Spartans dominated play in all 3 group stage games during the tournament with the following results – gm 1 0-0 tie vs NSC Revolution, gm 2 3-0 win over Sliver Lake FC and a gutsy 1-1 tie in gm 3 with only 10 available players vs NSC Fusion. GU17′s win again

Gu17s notch a 3-1 win. Last two matches in Group C – double header away weekend in TriCities (Sat) and Seattle (Sun).

GU15′s are leading Group D!

Gu15s with a 4-0 win sit atop Group D. Showdown next weekend (Sat. 11am, NHP) against 2nd place rivals Crossfire Yerxa for bracket. Girls control their own destiny, and a win or draw will see Newport advance to quarter-finals!

GU17′s advance in the Challenge Cup

Good results for both Newport’s Gu15s Gu17s in the Challenge Cup. A 4-2 win by the u17s gives them 9 points and a 3-0 win by the u15s earns 10 points in their first bracket matches. Great job ladies! u15s play play Sunday away at NW Natls. u17s.play Sunday away at Seattle.
