BU10s are State Cup Champions!

The Newport FC Boys U10 team coached by Cristian Pintone won the State Championship today with a 2-0 win over Crossfire.  The team did not give up a goal in either the
Semi-Final or Championship games posting two shutouts.

“It is a pleasure to work with my team and to see that our young footballers want to learn so much and have the passion within… PROUD OF YOU BOYS”
- Coach Cristian Pintone

Congratulations to the boys and to Cristian from everyone at the club!

EYSA 2018 Spring Academy

EYSA is running a Spring Academy. This would be a good preparation for players thinking about trying out for Select Soccer in the Spring Tryouts (May), or just to keep skills polished for Rec. soccer in the fall.

This camp is designed for soccer players of all levels. It will prepare the player trying out for Select or Premier Soccer by focusing on skills that will be important in the upcoming tryouts and on improving individual skills. The camp will provide Recreational players the opportunity to polish and renew skills so they are ready for fall soccer. Free T-shirt included with registration.

Coaching clinics (updated 8/11)

The final clinic on Aug 17th is cancelled.
Our new DOC has planned some coaching clinics throughout the Summer.  These clinics are FREE and full of information on skill development and drills for practices.  If you can attend all or some, it would be a very useful tool for your coaching experience. The clinics are targeted toward the Select coaches, but general principles are applicable and Rec. coaches are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Here are the dates:
June 17th Wednesday 7-8:30 at Newport Hills Park
July 14th Tuesday 7-8:30 at Newport Hills Park
August 17th Monday 7:30pm at Newport Hills Park (changed)

NYSC Registration closes May 31st!

Thank you to everyone who has registered with Newport Youth Soccer Club!!

If you have not yet registered, registration will close on May 31st!

All of our tryouts are complete (with the exception of our GU16/18 team) so if you did not make the select team and want back on your recreational team you need to register before May 31st to guarantee your spot!  We will be re-opening any age groups after the first week in June that still need spots to fill but there will be no guarantee to go back to your original team at that point!!

We need all registration fees and proof of age (birth certificate or passport) completed before we can put your child on a roster so please make sure that is all taken care of if needed (we only need proof of age if you did not play for our club last year, otherwise we have it on record)!

Please let me know if you have any questions!!
